I decided to practice my elevator speech at the monthly meeting of the National Association of Women Business Owners/Washington, D.C. chapter.

After many variations, here’s what resonated best with this roomful of peers:

Top-line message: “I help you save money and run a healthier business by going green.”

Supporting information: “I coach you so you can reach your business goals and protect the environment at the same time. I help you develop and implement a blueprint that outlines specific strategies for saving energy, reducing waste, and maintaining a clean and healthy workplace. As a result, you’ll strengthen your business, improve employee performance, become a leader in your sector, and leave future generations a legacy you can be proud of.”
