Recycling counts. So does allowing your employees to telecommute. Do you make organic shampoo or make-up? (Don’t laugh – the market for eco-friendly personal care products is HUGE!) Or have you started one of those incredibly popular green cleaning services?

I’m making efforts to move green as a business as well as a family unit. I blog about it the best I can. My latest steps toward green in business are to use as many organic oils in my handmade soap as I can. From there, I plan to quantify a percentage of Organic and make goals to increase that percentage once I make a mark in the sand. I have tried my hand at homemade paper (from my own recycled paper pile) and found that my effort does not help my profit margin. I’ll stick to fabric for now and move toward organic ones in the near future. I think the key to moving green in business is to quantify your “green” goals.
