  1. I am currently researching and devleoping a corporate citizenship report for my company (see contact information). Preserving and sustaining the environement is so important to our company. The process is so intricate involving the suppliers we purchase from, our internal processes that protect the environment, protecting our employee and vendor health and safety, and contributing to the well being of our community. I could desperately use your talents and wisdom to take this massive amount of data and create a sparkling report that demonstrates to the public our desire to be responsible and aware.

  3. Hello,
    for the past two years I have been actively collaborating with a local NGO to implement environmental friendly projects to our community. Currently I am managing our first recyclable materials collection center, yet there is still more to do. Especially since the commercialization of a commodity which responds to a highly volatile market conditions makes it practically a non profitable operation. While operation costs are high, demand for systems that actually transform be into energy or water what is collected seems the most challenging area to tackle due to the price it has.
    Considering that deals have been struck by private businesses and local government that are not foreseeing the use of alternative methods, technologies to actually make a positive impact ensuring turning our community into a sustainable city, state even a peninsula.
    Efforts are scattered across the city which often times get lost since there are not yet sufficient resources to assure whatever is collected have other purpose than being taken to a privately owned land fill.
    Some of these privately owned companies specialized in sorting some, not all of the items which may have a market value, though this is also limiting.
    However, the challenge is to turn a green concept into a reality that enables the development of a profitable green industry in this region, with capabilities that can cater the ever growing demand ever present in any inhabited location.
    I believe this course can become the tool which can aid me on actually successfully translate my objectives into a reality.
    Thanks for your attention

    I have started a company called Wentworth & Whelk LLC, which runs an online store called greenqueenstore.com (we are deploying a new site this weekend but a placeholder is there if you want to take a look). We are committed to providing easy access to sustainable, eco-friendly products that incorporate great design.

    I want to make eco-friendly shopping an easy, accessible, aesthetically-pleasing experience. I think part of helping people to make eco-smart decisions is to present products in a convenient forum (can’t beat the internet for that and it saves on transportation costs/energy) and to present it in a way that appeals to buyers on a number of levels (safety, good citizenship etc). One of the issues I’ve faced in trying to make good green decisions is that I have to go here for one thing, there for another and everything is brown. I think there is a real market for a one-stop store for great green design!

    I am planning to launch the retail business in the next month as soon as I can get (1) a critical mass of quality suppliers and (2) get the designs finalized. However, since I haven’t run a business before I could use all of the help I can get!

  7. Hi Diane-
    I am the founder and CEO of a start-up company called Blue Marble 4LIFE, Inc. Our first product is a personal growth and development program for children (+ 7 years old to begin with) called Backpack 4LIFE. The 4 core areas we are focusing on are
    * Authentic Mind 4LIFE
    * Health 4LIFE
    * Spirituality 4LIFE
    * Environment 4LIFE
    My vision is to strategically align myself with expert educators, parents, organizations and associations in these areas to enhance the Backpack 4LIFE product. Samples of items within the backpack include affirmations cards, visioning journals, gratitude rock, money jars and books and tools to enhance a child’s learning in the above mentioned areas. Additionally I am working on customizing backpacks i.e. Backpack 4Green-earth and Backpack 4 Financial Literacy customized with products with focused teachings (i.e imagine a child stating positive affirmations about the environment every single day- imagine the power of children globally having this mindset as they use the affirmation tool to build a new set of beliefs).
    Another example of strategic alliance is collaborating with my friend Dave Finnigan in a program called Two Years to Change: (http://twoyearstochange.org/) empowering the elementary and middle school students of the World to “Green” their homes, their schools and their neighborhoods.
    While my company is in start-up stage I am focused on educating myself to bring this to the children and their parents/guardian so we raise a new generation of new thinkers!
    I am powering up to launch my website (under construction) http://www.bluemarble4life.com where we will have a dedicated section on environmental restoration. This website is a social media platform so we can invite kids and parents/guardians and communities to be part of the solution to restore.
    I will be interviewing Paul Hannam in May and providing this information as a free report and teaching tool to increase awareness.
    I wish to align myself with experts who can assist me in ensuring we REACH, TEACH and EMPOWER children globally to enlighten them to their true self and sustain the environment they live in.
    Thank you.
    Sincerely,
    Elizabeth
